As many of you already know, the Pennsylvania
Cost Containment Council is currently reviewing the parity
bill. They are going to come out with an analysis of the costs
associated with providing prosthetic care. They are also going
to make a recommendation.
Letters of support will make a difference!
Help us by collecting letters of support. Reach out to local
hospitals, support groups, independent living centers, o&p
facilities, churches, etc. A statement on their letterhead
stating their support for HB 2718 is all we need!
The council is looking to receive all of the support and research
materials by Friday, the 14th. We need all of the support
letters by next Thursday. Go ahead and fax them in (866-599-8994)
or send them to us at: msheets@amputee-coalition.org.
Thank you in advance!
Sincerely,
Morgan and Jeremiah

We need to raise some money for the Central
PA AST, and here is a reasonable, and easy way to do so.
In cooperation with Bon Ton Department Stores, the AST sells
coupon booklets for Bon Ton's Community Days. We sell them
for $5.00, and we KEEP the $5.00 for each one we sell.
The person who pays the $5.00, gets it back as soon as they
make a purchase, and has more coupons to save more money,
this is truly a WIN, WIN way to raise money.
Dick Nickle did it myself last Fall, getting involved at the
last minute and earned over $150.00 for the AST. DeEtt and
Dick did it together last Spring, manning a table at the Carlisle
Bon Ton, and the end result was around $500.00.
If you would like to take part, let Dick know, and hewill
pick up for you a supply of Community Day Booklets, or you
may go to your local Bon Ton, show them this E-mail, and they
can verify what we are doing by contacting Susan Buffington
at the Carlisle Bon Ton at 717-243-1815, or at Susan's E-mail
btgm009@bonton.com
